Setting
up listings in eBay is not a simple
task.
The most daunting issue for
most sellers is navigating and
selecting an "eBay category" for
the item they are selling.
Most sellers use eBay's
search feature to determine the
eBay-recommended category for their
item, and consequently end up listing
their item next to dozens (or even
hundreds) of similar items, each
competing for the same customer.
PrestoStore
allows the seller to define how their
items are categorized and
subcategorized.
Sellers create their own
category tree – up to four levels
deep – and PrestoStore uses these
categories to list their items in
their own PrestoStore.
PrestoStore also uses the same
seller-defined category tree to
promote and list the seller's items
on shopping networks and search
engines throughout the Internet.
Another
limitation of eBay stems from the fact
that listings are all created
independently of each other.
This means that in eBay,
sellers need to set up payment
options, policies, detailed shipping
fee schedules, and other settings each
time they list an item for sale.
Since PrestoStore serves each
seller independently, sellers set up
this information just once and it is
applied to all the items they have for
sale in PrestoStore.
Sellers can quickly add or edit
the items they have for sale without
having to reestablish or confirm
standard information that is applied
throughout their PrestoStore.
